We have distribution in Dubai, Malta and recently South Africa. I would like to not only become an established healthy, gluten-free food brand in the UK but also internationally. The sky is the limit. With the help of Peter Jones, who provided 60, 000 for a 50 per cent stake in Barenaked Foods, Mendham has launched Barenaked Rice which has only 16 calories per 100g. This product joins Barenaked Noodles and Barenaked Protein Noodles in a growing roster of sought-after products. Ross Mendham is the Managing Director and brain behind Bare Naked Foods. He took his idea of low-carb, low-calorie, and zero fat noodles and protein noodles to the Dragons in season 11. The idea continued to grow and was eventually bought by Bright Network, a similar company, in May 2021. WoodBlocx (Series 10)

He can be found in the new series competing fiercely with Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and new recruit Steven Bartlett, who will replace Tej Lalvani.

Description in one line: Innovative manufacturer of healthy, gluten-free, pasta, rice and ready meals The entrepreneur decided that he would make this food available in the UK, so he created his own recipe with a blend of konjac, soybean and oatmeal flour to give his noodles a texture similar to traditional rice noodles. His recipe had no fat, sugar, dairy or gluten and was low in carbohydrate — and so… Barenaked Noodles were born!

I had the idea for a low-carbohydrate pasta and rice in 2010. I didn’t have the guts to start the business because I was scared of failing. Bare Naked Foods specialises in low-carbohydrate, gluten-free noodles, pastas, rice and ready meals. Peter Jones, Elton John and young millionaire booted out of posh Ascot school: the Berkshire Rich List Konjac (‘Shirataki’) noodles can be created by harvesting fibre from the konjac root by mashing it down into a flour, before mixing it with water and calcium hydroxide to create a gel which can be cut into strips.

The product is placed on top of an existing yoga mat and was meant to offer increased flexibility and balance, with colour coded pads aiding participants. Set realistic goals and work hard to achieve each one. You are not a success because you have a great idea; even the best ideas fail because a founder has made a wrong decision. Be willing to learn, work hard and never give up. Appearing on BBC2 Dragons’ Den seeking investment after my wife's third miscarriage. It was terribly emotional but I needed to seek investment to help grow my business. What was your biggest business mistake? Since then, Bare Naked Foods has gone from strength to strength and is now on the shelves of big-name grocery stores. But what businesses has he had a hand in since the start of the show? When you have been a part of the set-up as long as Jones has, there are always going to be plenty of highs and lows.

The landscaping company emerged from a timber supplies business, set up by the great-great-grandmother of entrepreneurs Henry and Philip Blake. Bare Naked Foods is a brand of plant-based noodles, protein noodles, and rice that are low-carb, low-calorie, and have zero fat in them. They are also 100% vegan friendly.Ross was given initial funding from his future father-in-law, to get the business started. He travelled to the Chamber of Commerce, in China, to find out more about noodle manufacture. I needed investment and exposure to help my business grow. Dragons’ Den is an amazing platform to help people with great ideas turn them into reality. All of the Dragons areextremely clever people with a wealth of experience. The hard work really starts when you get the investment. The biggest tip I have for people is to learn. The 47-year-old has been a part of BBC show Dragons' Den since its inception in 2005, starting out alongside Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richard and Simon Woodroffe.
