This is a good introduction to the structure of Moon and Me if you haven’t ever watched the show and takes you through the rhythmic repetitions you will see across any episode. It sounded like a nice enough story and when the book arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the book.

TV character-led fiction can be a great way to engage children with books, and Moon and Me: The Little Seed is a sweet story that tells how Pepi Nana and Moon Baby first became friends.In this delightful sticker storybook, children can play along with Moon Baby, exploring the toy house and Storyland, as well as meeting Pepi Nana and her toy house friends, Little Nana, Lambkin, Colly Wobble, Mr Onion, Sleepy Dibillo and Lily Plant all before bedtime. As the moon comes out at night, little toy Pepi Nana comes to life and sends an invitation to the Moon to come and share a story with her in her doll’s house, little realisng her invitation will be read by Moon Baby who lives there. Each book ends with the bedtime scene and makes these ideal reads at bedtime to encourage children to follow suit.

Moon and Me was created by Andrew Davenport, the man behind Teletubbies and In the Night Garden, and inspired by tales of toys coming to life when no-one is looking (possibly one of the things I wished would happen most when I was little! I love the characters as much as my grandson and warmed by him uttering “Onions” or “Tiddle toddle”. They are beautifully calming and have gentle positive values, Tinyfae who is 3 in particular is very taken with the stories and luckily I had bought some figures recently which they used to act out the stories (I got mine in Sainsburys and they are not blind bags! Overall these are a great set of books for any young Moon and Me or indeed storytelling fan and for those who love stickers there is a Moon and Me themed sticker book coming out in time for Christmas too!Littlefae has a strong reaction to that dog one Waffle to the point where Tinyfae didn’t get to watch it AT ALL because it just wasn’t worth the hassle!

We are sure that this is just the beginning for a fruitful and exciting future for the Moon and Me franchise and we Andrew Davenport and his team the very best for the years to come. His current project is a historical fiction novel set in an industrial small town in the late 1880s.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality items. I’d read that it was a tie in to a CBeebies programme and when I opened the books H and the older two recognised it straight away. Despite its contemporary aesthetic, the TV show has a distinctly traditional feel, both in terms of concept and content, and in its styling and production values, with stop-motion animation and puppetry taking the place of computer-generated imagery. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The titles have all been written by Moon and Me show creator, Andrew Davenport and are available in a mix of paperback and hardback.
